TRION NEEDS HELP 1. LV 50 12 dungeons, LV 60 9 Dungeons, LV 65 7 Dungeons, LV 70 4 Dungeons. Why have so few dungeons each expansion? Why not make all dungeons from classic to now scale for each level. This would keep us from being bored with the 4 dungeons with a 25% chance of getting another one which seems to not have more than 25% chance. To get a dungeon que seems forever, even for someone who ques for everything. 2. Dungeons have problems with people getting mad that you don't skip the trash by running past them, around them or summoning to the boss. My solution is to have the adds aggro to the boss if not ******. Also the horrible part is people are cheesing the fights to where we skip all the mechanics just stand there and heal through everything. Nobody that cant cheese the fights knows how they really work and so many groups break up. I get kicked all the time because i want to tank the adds. I enjoy like most people do the dungeons. 3. Specs not getting used because there is one spec that people want you to play because they dont do well. And you get austrasized because you want to play something you want but they just boot, kick, or ban you. As is the primalist need a healing spec that you cannot even play. Before you fix the other souls, put out the rest of the primalist spec that was promised the third time. 4. Get rid of guilds. Too many guilds don't want to merge that have 3-8 people at best that cannot even get a LFR together or a raid. Some of the super guilds that do exist that are few can maybe run a 10 man if lucky or a 20 man. But if you get rid of guilds, it makes people communicate and try to get things going in chat again. chat is dead most of the time. 5. Planar fragments and their RNG is horrible. Nobody wants to use Tier 6 Planar Fragments that have both tank and DPS in them. 6. Get rid of addons use so people cant judge people by their dps or heals. That elitism is what kills people from playing your game. Not having the best spec that someone number crunched that broke the spec to make it do more than normal dps or heals.

Yes, you can scale the UI however that does not include the mouse cursor...

The changes to Chloromancer Veil were the last straw for me. You got me back, and paying in 4.0, only to lose me FOREVER in 4.1. The only way I EVER return is if Keynes is FIRED and Chloro restored to the unique soul it was. Otherwise, Rift stays uninstalled and your chances of EVER getting me back go down with each month I get invested in another MMO.

After patch and create a new character - and after the client says it needs a recovery - my character falls instantly at the beginning place in a loop. It cannot be exit or logout because of falling. After it I try to run recovery but it was not successful, error3142 occurs, unable to download streaming updates.

Opie is a huge ripoff, and was clearly falsely advertised in the promos for the xpac. Ocho and Trion need a kick to the balls for this.

I'm having the same problem, it's been a year since I played the game, I decided to re-install and now it won't allow me past the intro movie, does not matter what I do, and like I said, I have played this game before, in fact I had played since beta, and only took a year or so long break when I upgraded my PC.. So I know the issue should not lie with my PC... But it would be nice to play again.

I cannot get past the intro animation either, the one with the bird flying into the ruins with the rogue fighting a mage and warrior...(just to be clear). I have changed my fire wall settings, deleted the game 4 times, deleted the app file, ensured my graphics card is up to date...all suggestions from trion...(who I believe knows there is an issue but will not say anything in order to save face!)

Mine ended 3 days early.

game works fine on daughters PC 4 apartments away on different ISP but both PC's in my apt cant connect for 2 days now ERROR 2025 over and over even went so far as to reinstall bloody Windows and still no joy guess its back to SWTOR. or WOW because GLYPH is pure garbage and always has been.

You're not alone Exxy, i've been trying for about 2 weeks just to install the game, and every single time i try to do something with RIFT my computer crashes. Might not be right away, might be a few minutes, never at the same location, but to no avail my RIFT crashes, don't give me errors most often. This is the FIRST time i have EVER in almost a decade of gaming had such an issue with a game. Seems RIFT doesn't have any real responses out there for solutions either. Go Trion. I wonder if the game has any real support at all.

I found that you need to stand close to Arlan & only target the Dream coven alcolytes. **** them singley avoiding aoe's. Once both Dream coven are down, the sentry's turn friendly & Arlan starts a long dialog with Kira.

Yes there is a setting. I can't login right now but I think it was under interface,hotkeys or options? Then anywhere you will find "import to other players" :)

I spent a good portion of yesterday afternoon in an IA group where it didn't display IA objective for one toon, and the other part of the day not being able to teleport in the first place. It began to function as desired late afternoon and until mid-way through this morning before the "no teleport" issue cropped up again. It is a little odd, but I took time out to explore some areas manually and level up some skills from the materials gathered in the relevant zones. Yes, one of those skills was fishing... because I have a lot of spare time in between study and household chores before hubby gets home from work.

I'm having a problem where I can't install the Glyph launcher itself. It says launcher is installing and goes straight to a message with the error #5020:5. I'm not really sure what to do.

Got some bad news here,,, atm the software structure does not exist in win10 , which is basically win 8.1 with some changes. I tried for over a week with ported drivers from win 8.1 got alot of stuff working just not rift, suspect it might run in compat mode once they finish with the version. I was not impressed with win 10 at all, though the hackers seem to be lol (DUMP WIN 10) and stick with win 7 versions for now. Have been doing software and tech on computers now for 35 years and like I said it wont work on 10 for now period.

Have you tried using the low renderer? I know it's little scary at first to think everything will become so ugly to maintain performance, but when i really tried it, I found it's not really ugly. What I do is: - Put settings on "High" or "very High" - Check the box next to the low renderer (and only this one, not the low texture thing with it or it will give you very plain and dull terrains and even Ice would turn into stupid standard green grass) - Restart the game (re-log doesn't work here) - Now the settings have low renderer which give a great boost in performance, while it still give better quality than what "low" settings gives. You get the better of the two worlds.

Nope, not a bug. Trion decided it wanted you to spend actual cash to buy event items, so it got rid of the repeatable quests to cut down on the "autumn coin" (autumnsap) you could gather. Less autumnsap, less ability to buy cool event items = people spending real money instead. What it actually has led to is an empty event instance and next to no one doing the event. Used to be crammed full of people -- now I counted two whole people this morning. Way to go, Trion. Keep killing the game, one stupid decision at a time.

Hi, I did exact the same thing as I did before. Reinstall your drivers (in my case nvidea) and it works.

Same problem here, I fixed it by updating my nvidea drivers and the game worked perfectly. But after the new Rift update, the error is back.

I play on Laethys. I have two characters that have taken a looooong time (months) to level up. The system updated yesterday to nightmare tide and another update tonight. So Last nights I play and I'm playing along happily tonight when Rift freezes up. Not a rare occurrence so I restart the computer. My characters are gone. I reload Glyph and the game from scratch. Now not only are my 2 characters not showing up in the shard selector but Laethys is greyed out so I cannot even select it. The server status claims Laethys is up.

I am returning to Rift also after a 4-5 month break and I have the same issue. I don't play the game through Steam I have the actual disks. Anyway I log into the Glyph launcher and click play and it attempts to initialize and then crashes and errors out. I have tried everything listed on the Glyph forums and Rift forums and nothing is working. I remember at one point back in 2013 there was an update that was causing the same type of issues, but that has since been resolved.

I agree it is BS because I had an account for only TWO days and my account was suddenly banned. I was having fun playing this game with my boyfriend and now I'm sad :( They need to fix this problem straight up! >:(

I even sent an email to their support staff, it said it would get back to me in approximately 96 hours, then it said up to 120 hours, and now its been 10 days. That is obviously 240 hours. I mean did the company just belly up without so much as a thanks for playing, or goodbye, thanks for the memories? Good lord that's messed up. I used to play Rift when it was a pay to play, and now i guess the company is dying.

I have the same issue - checked a website that said all the shards/servers are up and I see the que updating but everything is greyed out. I was on Rift literally 12 hours ago and nothing has changed... (on my end except perhaps a dynamic IP).

I encountered this issue today. Uninstalling Glyph and clearing the data from appdata then reinstalling fixed it.

Same exact thing happened for me. It might be the operating system? I'm running Windows 8.1 right now, I also tried running it in compatibility mode, and got the same thing. I had Geek Squad online look at it and they couldn't fix it either. This game had peaked my interest, but now it just ****** me off. Terrible job.

Go into %appdata%/Roaming Delete RIFT folder in there start up Glyph again. and it works :) its a new update that does so it cant connect cause of 2 broken IP addresses

I'm in the same boat you are. Apparently there's no "call them" option anymore either. The last phone number I had for them says they shut down phone support in early 2013. Can't do live chat without an authenticator code, and can't remove the authenticator code. Going on 2 days waiting since I submitted their joke of a web-form. I did a followup email with additional details by responding to the email confirmation they send you, but no luck so far.

I am having the same issues with this patch add i have made sure to both disable my fire wall and anti virus infact i delete my antivirus to make sure it wasnt the issue.

I am having this problem as well. I tried Chrom after my firefox failed, and the Chrom browser only said "page not available" so it appears to be on Trion's side. I can get into and play the game, but cannot access the forums for posts, cannot access my account page nor can I get to support because they require you to login, which keeps saying "connection was reset" so something is going on.

Same thing happened to my son. To fix it I put the rift folder withing the glyph folder, then it worked finally.

I think I foumd the root of all evil inside this thing (at least for me): BitDefender Antivirus. Since it was a clean W8.1 install, I went and grabbed it while I was working on setting up everything. I normally use Avira or Ad-Aware for basic detection. While troubleshooting similar issues on another game (Dragons Prophet. Timeout errors), I decided to uninstall BitDefender and go back to Avira. Turns out both launchers (RIFT and Dragons Prophet) are working wonders now, downlaoding
